  • How can I incorporate this into my curriculum?
One goal of ours when creating this art contest was to promote education about the water cycle and the world water crisis. Under each category, we have provided educational material, such as readings and videos, that can be used for classroom activities.
  • Can I use my own materials to teach my students about the world water crisis and the water cycle?
Yes, however, the content of the curriculum should align with that which is presented on our website. Additionally, students are required to review all the materials on our website, whether that be on their own or in a classroom setting, before creating their work.
  • I am an art teacher and I want to incorporate this contest into my curriculum, are there any material restrictions?"
There are no material restrictions for this contest! Students are welcome to use any medium they would like to create their work.

  • When is the deadline?
The contest opens on September 1st and closes at midnight on October 28th.
  • How will my students' work be judged?
All submissions will be judged blindly by a panel of jurors. Jurors will review submissions for demonstrated understanding of the material presented, creatvitity, and technique. The scoring rubric can be found here.
  • What happens if my student wins?
Here at Youth Climate Ambassadors, we truly appreciate the work that teachers do. Right now especially, we are grateful for all teachers that consider incorporating this contest into their curriculum. That's why we are giving a $75 sustainability gift basket to the teachers of winners as a way to say thank you!
